A Workplace Rooted in Identity
For Wieland Builds, the vision for its Florida corporate office was clear: create a workplace that feels unmistakably Wieland while supporting the people, processes, and relationships behind the work.
As a commercial general contractor, the company needed an environment that was functional and direct, yet open enough to encourage communication and camaraderie. The result is a workplace shaped around the realities of how the team works, balancing client interaction, focused production, collaboration, and connection.
Purpose in the Plan
The organization of the office is intentionally straightforward. Client-facing functions establish a professional presence at the front, production spaces anchor the back, and shared amenities create a central point of connection between the two.
Critical adjacencies strengthen communication across teams, while the open environment encourages the spontaneous interactions that shape workplace culture. Rather than overcomplicate the plan, each space is positioned with purpose, creating an intuitive flow from business to production and everything in between.
An Honest Material Language
The material palette draws inspiration from the character of Wieland’s work, embracing materials that feel raw, natural, and authentic.
Reclaimed wood defines the arrival experience, creating a warm backdrop for custom Florida-specific Wieland branding. Exposed ceilings and polished concrete continue throughout the office, celebrating the honesty of construction while establishing a casual, contemporary character.
Floor-to-ceiling exterior glass brings natural light deep into the ground-level suite, reinforcing the openness of the workplace and creating a visual connection across spaces.
Building Culture Through Place
The new Florida office brings Wieland’s identity and local workplace culture together within an environment designed for connection.
Functional without feeling rigid and refined without losing its authenticity, the space reflects the company it was designed for; a workplace grounded in purpose, collaboration, and the craft of building.
